Bart was rescued in February 2021 due to the bizzare circumstances that his horns were so large it was proving difficult to manage him at the farm he was at, and in particular he couldn't get down the 'slaughter corridor' due to the sheer width of his magnificant appendages.

The farmer had previously surrended some of his animals to the sanctuary and so asked Fiona if we would be able to take him. Bart is a big lad and soon took his place as the Highland herd leader.
