We were approached by a farmer down on Salisbury Plain to see whether we could help with a calf they had who had bent over knuckles. They had been working with him for a while but were not able to give the time and resources necessary to help him recover.

It was an 8 hour round trip and little Barnaby as he is now called arrived at the beginning of April - just on 1 month old.  He has to wear splints for about 6 to 8 hours a day and have several physio sessions to try and get his legs straight. Its a lot of work, but we are hopeful he will make a good recovery.

Like all his new friends Barnaby is hoping to take part in the marathon des cows and raise £100 of new sponsorship a month to help keep the sanctuary going.  You can help him from just £1 a month

Each of the Cows aims to raise £100 a month in sponsorship which if successful will go a long way towards preventing the sanctuary from failing which will ultimately mean they all lose their home. So please do consider helping - if only a quarter of our followers on Facebook would spare just £1 a month the sanctuary would have financial security - so don't think your £1 wont make any difference as it certainly wil.
