Here is Fenella.  A couple of months after we acquired the farm site back in August 2018 we were contacted and asked if we could help by taking in two elderly Highland Cows. We had no experience with Highlands at the time, but had quite a few cows living with us.

Fenella and her friend Flora were both being "retired" from the industry having been used to breed calves for meat all their lives. The farmer assured us that neither were "in calf" and so they started their new life at the sanctuary. It was some suprise when Flora subsequently gave birth to Fernando & then a few weeks later Fenella gave birth to Fritha! 

Nearly 5 years later all are still happily living with the "expanded" Highland herd.  Please help us continue to care by sponsoring Fenella from just £1 a month and helping to keep the sanctuary open - thank you
