Luigi is one of the rescued Herefords we look after at the sanctuary. Like his 2 friends Dino & Benny he is a very large boy of the kind described by the meat industry as 'prime beef'.  He was rescued back in October 2019 aged 18 month and literally on his way to the slaughterhouse. 

A couple had been feeding him and his friends through the fence at a farm where they waked their dog and couldn't stand the thought of what was going to happen - as it does to millions of their kind. So they contacted the farmer and eventually managed to secure the release of the three friends who then came to live at our Asheldham site until they had been post move TB tested, then they moved up to the new farm site.  Luigi likes to chill in the fields - well who wouldn't? - and is never far from Benny and Dino.

He has been looking forward to starting this event and hopes to beat his 2 friends to the target. At this point Dino is already ay 60% of target and Benny has yet to make an appearance ! - If you can help Luigi from just £1 a month, that would be wonderful :)
