Archimedes arrived with his friends Artemis and Dennis not that long ago in September 2022 aged 16 months - at the time.  Like his 2 friends Archimedes was described as a "poor doer" meaning essentially that he was small and therefore it wasn't worth the farmers time and expense to continue to bring him on for meat purposes as of course they are sold by the kilo at market :( 

So by this lucky fate, Archimedes was saved from slaughter and came to live with his friends and his new family headed up by Bart at the Sanctuary. 

Of the 3, Dennis is the easiest to identify as of course he isn't a Highland, he's a Vaynol and also black in colour. Both Archimedes and Artemis are still smaller than the others and are the only 2 whose horns are unusually virtually horizontal. 

Archimedes is very keen to continue to live his best life here and hope that he will find new sponsors to help him complete his marathon challenge :)
