Olga is one of our most senior Cow residents and she lives in the garden - with access to a large barn - together with her best friend Marinka (who she was originally sent to slaughter with) plus Dawn the Dexter and Rosie who we posted about a few days ago. 

Olga is a Semental cow and was just coming up to 13 years old when she and her friend were considered of no further use to the meat industry - i.e. too old to continue with breeding - as so she was sent to Colchester livestock market. 

As you may recall from our post about Marinka, we went to the market with some funds donated specifically to be used to rescue some cows and we managed to save both Olga nad Marinka - it was one of the most harrowing things we have seen. Both were very underweight but soon settled into their new lives and Olga will be 17 on 9th July 2023. 

Olga wants to stay living at the sanctuary which she can only do with your help so please help her to meet her marathon sponsorship target - every pound donated on a monthly basis will help :)
