Harold was one of the 10 little boys rescued in October 2017 and was a mere three weeks old when we managed to save him from being taken to a fattening unit. As a Holtein Friesian and male, Harold will all being well grow to be one of our larger cows ! Normally of course they a not given the chance as commercially they are all slaughtered whilst sill babies. 

Harold quickly became aware of how nice it is to have ones neck scratched and was always pushing to the front and extending his neck for this treat whenever he saw an opportunity :)  Identifying the different cows from a distance can be a challenge depending on which cow it is - for instance some are easy like Henry or Snowball - Henry being the only Jersey Cow here & Snowball being the only all white one :) - The more tricky ones are the black and white ones of whom we have more than just a few. 

Harold, however has some distinctive features - like a few of them he has a white stripe down his nose, but the black on the right side of his face extends down his nose too - the only one that does, so his nose is the key - the right (or left as you look at him) is black whilst the rest is pink! 

Harold is hoping to finish the marathon des cows as quickly as possible as he really wants to stay living here with all his friends - Please help him
