Christmas 2003 Turkey Rescue

Here are  eight of the nine Turkeys I was able to rescue this Christmas - The Ninth is fine,. but just out of the frame of this photo

These birds were much less damaged than the ones I rescued last year (see here) but they do have leg problems & a few small body wounds

This is Cinders who has the most damage - although her wings are covering most of the wound you can see the exposed muscle tissue in the middle of her back.

I fully expect Cinders to make a full recovery and they are all looking forward to the Spring when they can start to explore the garden & yard.
